Acorns Class were delighted to be named Tilgate Bakery's 'Your Local Heroes' last week and received some delicious jam donuts!

Nominated by Vic, who says "Acorns class at Manor Green Primary is a class of all non verbal autistic children. The children have to have a lot of 1-2-1 support with everyday life.

The staff are more than teaching staff. The small group of staff within that class, go above and beyond daily. Not just teaching, life skills, they support parents, set up behaviour / support plans and so much more. The staff are a lifeline to many parents.

It would be lovely for them to be recognised for going above and beyond."
