Admissions and School Places

All school places at Manor Green Primary School are allocated by the Local Authority, West Sussex County Council (WSCC).

For full information about school admissions, please visit the  West Sussex County Council Website

As a special school designed for children with specific needs we do not operate a traditional Published Admission Number per year group.

Admissions via Statutory Assessment

Most pupils are admitted to Manor Green Primary School following a statutory assessment, which involves parents/carers and relevant professionals and results in an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan.

If an EHC Plan or Statement of SEN is not yet held

If an EHC needs assessment has begun, applications should be made online through your child’s current mainstream nursery, school or college.

By week 16 of the assessment process, a decision will be made as to whether an EHC Plan will be issued.

If a draft EHC Plan is produced, the Special Educational Needs Assessment Team (SENAT) will contact you to discuss your preferences. At this stage, you may ask them to consider a placement at Manor Green Primary.

If an EHC Plan or Statement of SEN is held

If your child already has an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan or a Statement of Special Educational Needs, you should have been contacted by the Special Educational Needs Assessment Team (SENAT), who are responsible for making school placements.

You can express your preference for a school or college by contacting SENAT directly.
