Welcome from the Head Teacher
Welcome to our school website. My name is Amanda Preece and I am the Headteacher of Manor Green Primary. Our school caters for primary children, aged 2 - 11 years who have learning difficulties and additional needs.
I am delighted you have chosen to browse through our web pages and I hope that you will enjoy an insight into life at our exceptional school. We have an enthusiastic, dedicated and professional team who are committed to the highest standards of education, care and behaviour.
I am excited to be taking on the role of Headteacher of this outstanding school. I have been part of the Manor Green community as a teacher, senior leader and deputy since 2013 and share its passion for putting the child and their family at the heart of everything we do. My career has always been associated with those experiencing challenges in relation to learning, autism and complex needs and understanding the individual and the family that surrounds them.
We are proud of being judged outstanding by Ofsted on four successive occasions and we continuously strive to maximise the opportunities for each child. We have a proactive and supportive Governing Body and Parent/Carer fundraising group.
The school is organised into Key Stage groups with a senior teacher coordinating each department. There are 19 classes each with a teacher and two or more special support assistants. We are supported by speech and language therapists, physiotherapist and occupational therapist. The school has a school nurse and some pupils have access to the peripatetic sensory team. All work together with our teaching team to ensure pupil’s needs are fully met from a multidisciplinary perspective. All pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan. The pupils participate in many specialist and therapeutic activities including hydrotherapy and riding. The school also prides itself on its links with the wider community through visits and links with other schools.
Throughout the school calendar, you will have the opportunity to share in the excitement of your child's education. Do come and see the school for yourself, meet me and my deputies, you will be most welcome.
