Thank you for coming along to support our Winter Shows this week, we have had some fantastic comments and feedback. We will soon have the DVD’s ready for you to buy at £8.00. each. If you would like a copy please complete the disclaimer and order form, then return it to school with your payment.

The Cool Clever Gang a group of children from the upper school that are gifted and talented in English and Maths have a mini enterprise scheme. They made popcorn, then sold it along with some sweets at the Lower School Show. They made £30.00. On the back of the newsletter there is information about arrangements for next week. Please make sure that, if you have not already done so, you send in your Father Christmas gift on Monday.

We break up for Christmas next Friday. When we return in the new year the first couple of days will be inset days. The first day back for the children will be Thursday 5th January. There will be one other inset day this school year on Friday 17th February, immediately before half term.

East Surrey and the YMCA will be offering Yippee Play Schemes for children with disabilities and complex needs in the Crawley area. We have booking forms for February half term sessions available in the school office.

Do you need help or advice with toilet training? ERIC is the Children’s Bowel and Bladder Charity. You can contact the helpline on 0845 370 8008, or go to www.eric.org.uk There are free leaflets and resources for constipation and soiling, bedwetting and potty training, holding on too long and more for you to download.

Arrangements for Christmas Week

Monday 12th – Friday 16th December

Monday 12th December – Christmas Jumper/T-Shirt Day

The children can wear their Christmas Jumpers, or get creative with the tinsel, glue and glitter. There will be prizes for the best.

Tuesday 13th December – Whole School Christmas Lunch followed by a visit from Father Christmas.

All the children and staff have Christmas Lunch together. It is the same price as a normal lunch (£2.20), and you can pay in your normal way. If your child is entitled to a free school meal or a universal free school meal (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children) there will be no charge. If your child does not normally have a school lunch please send in £2.20.
Special diets will be catered for as usual (school uniform please).

After lunch Father Christmas comes to visit all the children. If you have not already sent in a gift for Father Christmas to give to your child please send one in on Monday. Gifts must not exceed £5.00 in value, and need to be clearly labelled with your child’s name and class.

Wednesday 14th December – Class Parties

Classes will let you know what they need you to contribute towards their party food. The children can wear their party clothes to school. No hot school meals will be available, only school packed lunches for regular free/universal free school meal children – don’t forget we are a nut free school.

Thursday 15th December – Nativity

This is just for the children in place of assembly. School uniform please.

Friday 16th December – Afternoon disco

Children can wear their party clothes to school, but they will need a school sweatshirt over the top if they are going out.
