A big thank you from Pudsey for all your donations and cakes that were sent in for Children in Need last Friday. We raised an amazing £171.25. On Friday afternoon we had a class “Bake off” competition. Larch Class were the winners with their Chocolate Cake. All of the cakes were amazing, a selection are on the back of the newsletter for you to have a look at.

Do you need some advice and help filling in your DLA forms? If so you can book an appointment with Robert Hayes between 11am and 12.30pm on Monday 24th November.

As a result of our school survey we invited parents to join us for a Parent Carer Forum to discuss home/school communication. We worked together to develop new strategies and the best way forward to improve our communication. We have already received some positive impact as a result. Thank you for your input.

Please can we remind you to make sure that your children’s uniform, hats, coats, gloves etc. are all clearly named so that we can return them to your child if they get lost. Also, if you are sending in money for dinners, trips, riding etc. it needs to be in a sealed envelope and clearly marked with details of how much, your child’s name and what the payment is for.

The Speech and Language team are pleased to invite you to their Coffee & Mince Pies Morning at Manor Green Courtyard on Wednesday 3rd December 9:00 to 11:00 am. This will be a good opportunity to meet the Speech and Language team for nursery, primary and college, get advice about supporting your child’s speech and language development at home and meet other parents.

Thank you to all the parents that attended the English and Phonics Workshop on Thursday afternoon, we hope you found it enjoyable and useful. We will be running further workshops in the new year.

The School Christmas Fair is next Saturday (29th November). This is a fantastic fundraising opportunity for the school. Thank you for all your support and donations so far. Next Friday will be the last non uniform day to collect for the fair. We will be collecting cakes for the cake stall. If you still have any other donations you would like to make we would still love to receive bottles, jars of sweets, CD’s, DVD’s toiletries, gifts, toys, games and puzzles.

The school photographer was here on Wednesday. As soon as the proofs arrive we will send them home for you to make your orders. The photo’s make lovely Christmas Gifts.

We are pleased to advise you that Laura, our physiotherapist will be returning to school after the Christmas break following her maternity leave. We will also be welcoming our new occupational therapist in the new year.

There will be an Autism Coffee Morning at Crawley Hospital on 28th November 2014, 9.30 to 12.30 with Dr Omkar at the postgraduate centre.
