We are delighted to tell you that on 31st January we will be taking delivery of a new Variety mini bus sponsored by ‘Crest Homes’.

If for any reason you are unable to attend an EHCP/Statement annual review I am afraid that we will be unable to offer an alternative date, but the class teacher will contact you by phone to discuss reports with you. Unfortunately, due to the number of reviews that have to be organised there is not enough time in the school calendar to find alternative dates.

I also have to apologise that some parents have received notification of their child’s annual review at very short notice. This is due to not receiving the official paperwork from the local authority in time to give you advanced notice. Thanks for your understanding if this has happened to you, I realise how difficult it is to attend meetings at short notice.

Year 3 and 4 classes had some fun Viking activities as their stunning start to their termly topic.

Year 5 and 6 pupils had a stunning start to their termly topic with a morning of Minecraft activities in the hall today.

Thanks to the Golden Lion’s Trust on their GLTC 45th Birthday for organising the ‘Harry Potter World’ day trip for our year 5-6 pupils on the 15th March. Without their support we would not be able to organise such fun events.

We still have a few show DVDs available. If you have already requested one and not received it, please send in £8 to the school office with your child’s name and class. Thank you.

Thank you to the parents who turned up at the meeting to discuss the ‘Friends of Manor Green’ future and I am pleased to say that 5 parents have now decided to join the committee. If you are interested in becoming a member, please let the school office know. Without your support the Friends group will not be viable and at this time when LA funding is very tight we need the additional funds that this group raise to provide much needed resources.

Long sleeve polo shirts are now available from Taylor Made Uniforms.

Future dates:

  • 21st March: Downs Syndrome Awareness Day. Wear Odd Socks for £1 donation
  • 26th March: Autism Awareness Day. More details to be finalised by the student council.

Happy Birthday to you

  • Aaron in Maple class
  • Damian in Holly class
  • Harry and Louis in Oak class
  • Logan in Ash class
  • Blake in Little Acorns class
