Next Friday (25th September) we will be taking part in the MacMillan Coffee Morning to raise funds and awareness for MacMillan cancer research and care. Your child will be able to buy a cake at school to enjoy at morning snack time. Please can you give your child some money to buy a cake, and if your feeling inspired by the bake off, send in some small cakes/bakes to be sold to the children.

The Speech and Language team will also be having a coffee morning – this one is for you, not the children. It will be on Wednesday 30th September from 9.00am-11.00am in the courtyard here at Manor Green. This will be an opportunity for you to meet the team
and chat to your child’s therapist.

We have a new telephone system at school. It is now possible to call and leave a message if your child is unwell and will not be coming into school. Please let us know your child’s name, class and reason for absence. Please call before 9.30am each day of absence.

After school clubs will begin again next week (Tuesday), you will have been notified which club your child has been allocated. The sensory club has been split into two groups as it has been so popular. Once again you will have been notified if your child is in the group running before or after half term.

Please can you ensure that if your contact details change you inform us and parentmail so that we can contact you if need be. We cannot access your personal details on your parentmail account so cannot update it for you.

We are rolling out a new phonics system under the guidance of Cheryl Gallon, our head of English. Years 3,4,5 and 6 will be introduced to letters and sounds via the new system. If you would like to know more please speak to Cheryl.

May we ask you once again to make sure that all items of clothing are clearly labelled.

Happy Birthday to you…
