This will be the last newsletter of this school year. School finishes for the children on Tuesday 21st July, and starts again on Monday 7th September.

Free School Meals/Universal Free School Meals
If your child will be moving up to Year 3 in September they will no longer be eligible for universal free school meals. However you may entitled to claim for means tested free school meals. If not you will need to either pay for school meals (currently £2.20 per day) or send your child in with a packed lunch. All children (regardless of year group) from families with an income of less than £16,190 could be eligible for free school meals. If you would like to complete an application form they are available from the school office.

Please make sure your dinner money is paid up to date by Tuesday.

The Golden Lions Children’s Trust will be holding a treasure hunt in Tilgate Park on Saturday 25th July at 11am. A family ticket costs just £5.00. For more information go to www.glct.org.uk The Golden Lion Children’s Trust also has some free tickets for the Longlines Royal International Show at Hickstead on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st July. This event runs from early morning to late afternoon but you can come and go as you wish. Please call 01273 891963 as soon as possible if you would like tickets for yourself and/or your family members, as tickets will be on a first come first served basis.

Kings centre in East Grinstead are working with “Special families East Grinstead” to run Stay and Play Disability Sessions, with activities including soft play, a bouncy castle. Football, racquet sports, art and crafts, boccia and curling. These sessions will run from 1-3pm on the 26th July. 23rd August, 27th September, 25th October and 29th November, and they are £3 per family, per session. Siblings are welcome to attend, but all children must be supervised.

The YMCA are hosting a Family Fun Day at school on 6th August. It is £1.50 per family, and children must be accompanied by an adult. The two sessions run from 10am-12pm (5-11 year olds) and 1pm-3pm (12-18 year olds) and include New Age Kurling, Boccia, Arts and Crafts, Gardening and healthy snacks and drinks.
