This week we have been celebrating Diwali in school. The children have been learning about the story of Rama and Sita and making clay Diya lanterns. Kulvi Bains has very kindly been preparing and cooking some Indian dished with the children. Everyone got to taste the delicious food. There are photographs of our celebrations and learning on the back of the newsletter.

We are delighted to announce that Natalie King has been appointed as parent governor. Natalie has a daughter in Oak Class.

School sickness policy – if your child has any sickness or diarrhoea please keep them at home until 48hrs have past since the last bout. This is to stop spreading the infection to other children and staff throughout the school.

We have just one week before the Christmas Fair on Saturday 21st Nov. We need your help to make it a success!! We only have one more non uniform Friday to go, next Friday when we will be collecting cakes and bakes. We are also desperately short off bottles for the tombola and jars filled with sweets. If you are able to contribute that would be fantastic. If you would be able to help with the Christmas Fair, or would like to become a member of the Friends of Manor Green please contact Greg Tyler on chairfomg@hotmail.co.uk

Langley Green and Ifield Children Centre will be holding “Play and Learn Plus” sessions every Thursday morning between 10am and 11.30am. These sessions will include sensory play, storytelling and creative experiences, and for parents information and advice and peer support. The sessions are aimed at children with additional needs and their parents and carers.

We will be having a coffee morning on Wednesday 25th November, 9.00am – 10.30am. This is just an informal opportunity for you to meet and talk to other parents and carers. If you would like any more info. Please talk to Jan in Beech Class.

Thank you for your donations and cakes. We will let you know how much we raised for Children in Need next week.
