Arrangements for the last week of term

Tues. 15th Dec – Christmas Dinner.
The whole school has Christmas Dinner together. The cost is the same as a regular dinner at £2.20. If your child would normally receive a free school meal it will be provided free of charge. Special diets will be accommodated as usual. If your child does not normally have a school dinner please send in £2.20 in a sealed envelope – clearly marked with their name, class and “Christmas Dinner” on Monday. We anticipate all children joining in with this event.

Father Christmas Visit.
Following lunch on Tues. 15th Father Christmas will be paying us a visit. Please can you send in a gift for Father Christmas to give to your child. The gift should not cost more that £5.00, and needs to be wrapped and labelled clearly with their name and class. If you have not already sent in a gift please can the classes have it on Monday.

Weds.16th Dec – Class Parties.
Your child can wear their party clothes to school.
Parent/carers will be asked to contribute some party food, your child’s class team will let you know what they would like. The children may also like to bring a small packed lunch as there will be no school dinners available.

Thursday 17th Dec. School Nativity.
The Nativity takes the place of School Assembly and is for the children only – no parents or visitors are invited due to restricted space in the hall.

Friday 18th Dec.—Afternoon Disco.
In the afternoon the children will be having a disco. They may wear their party/disco clothes to school. School will finish at normal time.

Short Breaks for Disabled Children has been working alongside Bewbush Children & Family Centre to offer a session over the school holiday to access the Interactive Magic Carpet. They are offering families allocated time slots on Monday 21st December between 9.30-4pm. To book your preferred time slot please call the centre on 01293 651760. Each session will be for 30 minutes. If you will need to use a changing bed or hoist please discuss this when booking your slot.

DVDs of the Christmas Show will be available shortly. If you would like a copy please send £6.00 in a sealed envelope, marked with your child’s name, class and “DVD”. Both the Upper and Lower School shows will be on the same disc.

Don’t forget—the first two days of term (Mon 4th and Tues 5th) are inset days so the school will be closed for staff training. The children will return to school on Wednesday 6th January.
